Voters in Lanku, near Bharatpur, had already lined up at 630am to cast their vote in the 2008 Nepal Elections. 17.6 million Nepalis were elegible to vote in the elections, and about 60% percent did. The election officially marks the end of the centuries-old monarchy as the Maoist party is on track to obtain a majority of the seats available for the Constituent Assembly.
