Broken glass covers the ground at Tamaseel Theater in Lahore, site of a bomb blast on January 9th, 2009. The blast, which targeted two theatres, did not kill anyone but clearly intended to scare them from social and cultural activities such as drama. This effort by Islamic Militants has severly affected certain markets, notably the Cinema. In Peshawar, most cinemas have been forced to close and the majority of the Pashto Film productions have been moved to Lahore for safety reasons.
